I can’t imagine that Turbine is happy with the 54 hours of downtime. They are a business after all and all businesses have to make money. I’m sure with how buggy the game is this downtime didn’t help cement the player base. I’m also wondering how many people are not returning. Turbine is compensating premium and VIP players with 250 Turbine points and extending subscriptions to make up for the lost time. All of which cost money.
While it is quite frustrating to be unable to enjoy a hobby that one has invested both time and money into, it’s always in the best interest of all parties to keep an open mind and avoid projecting blame over who, or what caused an issue in the first place. Unfortunately, this is something many of the forum members needed a reminder of this, as several threads were closed after cruel personal jabs, derogatory remarks and suggestions. It’s downright shameful that anyone, especially in a community for a GAME, would react in such a visceral manner. Hopefully with the servers back up, gaming life will return to normalcy, the endless grind to get that new shiny!
Remember, epic Gianthold comes next week! Happy gaming.
